On-water support

Heading out on the boat to help those in need is great fun. If you have a passion for being out on the water, past boating experience, or are just interested in building some on water skills, we’d love to take you out. Training and support is provided.

  • Operational crew

Team support

Working behind the scenes to ensure the boat is in working order, or that our unit is running smoothly, our team support roles are crucial. There are lots of different roles available and training can be provided – if you have an interest in boating, but don’t have the sea legs yet, or aren’t ready to take that step, this can be a great way to be involved in the unit.

  • Boat maintenance & equipment
  • Tractor drivers
  • Unit committee and administration roles

    Event support

We are always looking for ways to engage with the local community and raise much-needed funds for the unit’s operation; we do this by organising a number of annual events. We are looking for people to help on the day or during the lead-up. No matter if you can commit to a few hours, or attend the odd event, we greatly appreciate your help and would love to have you involved.

    • On day event support – connecting with our community through the planned activities
    • Donation box collection programme
    • Distribution of event promotion – posters and flyers to local business
    • Funding application support
